Getting started¶
Welcome to RD Analytics — software that analyzes traffic video with AI and turns the results into reports you can explore in a browser.
This section is the path for a new installation: choose a suitable PC, install the server, sign in, prepare models, then run a short demo analysis.
First-time path¶

1. Check the PC¶
RD Analytics needs an NVIDIA GPU and enough disk for video and compiled AI engines.
Linux (Ubuntu) is recommended for the server. Windows 11 with WSL2 is supported when you cannot use a Linux host.

2. Install the server¶
Choose your operating system and follow the step-by-step guide:
- Install on Linux — Ubuntu (recommended)
- Install on Windows 11 — WSL2 Ubuntu (supported alternative)
Ask your vendor for the exact release URL for your version (examples in the install guide use a placeholder version such as 5.0.0).
When the installer finishes, the app listens on port 9006.
3. Sign in for the first time¶
- On the server PC (or another PC on the same network), open a browser.
- Go to
http://<server-ip>:9006 - On the same machine:

- Change the password after the first login (Account menu → profile / password).
4. Prepare the product¶
Still signed in as System admin:
- Open System → Licensing and activate your license.
- Open System → AI-Models, enable the models you need, and wait until status is ACTIVE.
The first enable may show COMPILING for several minutes while a GPU engine is built for your hardware.
Skip optional modules until after you complete the demo unless your vendor requires them.
5. Process your first video¶
With the server running and models ACTIVE:
- Have a short sample video file ready.
- Follow Quick start: location → source → scan → report.
That walkthrough creates a site, uploads video, configures analysis, and opens a report.
