The settings page allows to do a system-wide configuration. There are several sections on the page.
Users
You can change current user's name (this is a Name, not LOGIN) and password.
Each user can define individually, what types of notifications he wants to receive. A Notification is a browser's pop-up message that come either from manager, or from servers.
DB status
: A notification comes, if system detects an issue related to the System DB.Events
: General events notifications.Pipelines status
: Messages from servers with information that pipeline starts, stops or has an issue.Servers status
: Messages from servers with information that server starts, stops or has an issue.User notifications
: A user can set up an output of type 'Notifications' to make the system send messages, if certain events occurs. Here user decide if he wants to receive these event-related notifications.
User management
There are two types of users in RoadData: administrators and regular users. The difference is that regular user can’t modify configuration of servers' processing pipelines and can't add or remove other users.
New users are added only by the administrators. In the section All users click on 'Add new user' button, enter a name (login), a password and new user’s role. After saving the new user will be able to change his password from the section Current user.
Maintenance
It is recommended to make a complete backup of systems configuration from time to time. To do this click on Save
button in the Backup section. To restore configuration click Restore
and choose the configuration file from disk.
There are two types of logs: the manager's log and the servers' individual logs. All general events are recorded in the log file, maintained by manager. You can save it as a text file from Logs section. Each server does its own logging. This log contains much more details about the server. You can access each server's individual log from server settings.
Modules
The section modules shows full list of the processors, models and outputs, available in this project.
If you've got an extra module, you can upload it using Upload .zip
button. After the upload completed you'll see this new module in the list and also will be able to add it to your pipelines.
Misc
Archive storage time
: System DB entries older than this value will be automatically deleted. Zero means no restriction. This is global DB parameter. (Reference images may be overwritten even earlier. It depends on the size of the System DB storage file.)Pipeline video resolution
: The resolution of video stream that servers send to the users. Use lower resolution, if network connection is limited or in case of insufficient server's compute capability.Pipeline video handler
: You may need to change this parameter to 'Internet service' if you and your servers work in different networks (behind a router).OSD font
: By default the system can display only Latin symbols on the Video/Images. Switch to another font if you use texts other than Latin. (Only for OSD)Face matcher
: This option turns on the face recognition neural net, which required if you have face search.Log level
: Set log level for the manager.
