Scan failed and video preview

Issues when a scan shows FAILED status or video preview does not load.

Scan failed

1. Open the scan on the Scans list — hover or expand the status badge for lastError when available.
2. Open the scan configuration workspace and review inline errors near the video player.
3. Confirm the source media is present on the Files tab.
4. Set status back to PENDING and retry processing after fixing configuration.

Video preview issues

1. Confirm the scan is not in an unexpected status (see Scan statuses).
2. Check that the engine service is running and GPU requirements are met (administrators).
3. Save pending configuration changes before starting processing.
